Looking over these designs and reading about the tone of the show drained me of all the excitement I had (except for the sword/gun…that’s cool). Seems like sentai’s little aesthetic vacation in Go-Buster is out the window and they want to get back to something more overtly traditional. Hopefully it turns out to be enjoyable or I’ll be taking a break from the old five color squad program for a bit.
ZYURANGER ENDING: I just finished Zyuranger and something’s bothering me. I won’t spoil it, but there’s something Daizyujin does at the end that immediately made me think: Why the hell didn’t you do that from the beginning?! If you’ve seen it maybe you know what I’m talking about, if you haven’t then look for it when you do. All in all that ending was a little weak, but I did enjoy the series.
Also: Leaving dinosaurs with children is a horrible idea.

Just finished Jetman. Watching the end of a sentai series shouldn’t completely devastate you emotionally but damn if the end of Jetman didn’t turn me into a big fat baby. I knew what was coming for the most part but…damn. Amazing show, twelve thumbs up.
Thank you Japan for making sure that every actress cast in your toku programming is a gravure model and has a photobook/dvd, cuz Escape is GORGEOUS.
